Mr. Sor Sophea
Head of Centre of Innovative Teaching and Learning (CITL)

Born in May 1982. He holds a Master’s Degree of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in 2014 from MAHASARAKHAM University (Thailand); a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Lao Language and Literature in 2008 from National University of Laos; a Higher Technical Diploma in Finance and Banking in 2008 from SETTHA Business Administration College; and a Higher Diploma in English for Business in 2006 from KAVIN College (Lao PDR). Furthermore, he has also attended many professional training courses and workshops related to academia conducted by Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport; ACLEDA Bank Plc.; ACLEDA Institute of Business; and other institutions in Cambodia and overseas. He has earned academic experience in teaching, working, and conducting any researches related to the education and market needs and trends for management and preparing teaching-learning materials, research papers, policies, strategic plans, operating manuals, procedures, guidelines, regulations, workflows, etc.

Mr. Sor Sophea started the first job as an English-Khmer-Lao Language Translator and Interpreter for ACLEDA Bank Loa Ltd. (Lao PDR) from April to October 2008. Since March 2009, he worked for ACLEDA Bank Plc., POCHENTONG Branch, as a Credit Officer till March 2011. Then he was moved to work for ACLEDA Training Centre Ltd. as a Staff of External Training Unit till February 2012. After graduating Master's Degree, he was promoted as a Manager of Research Unit in June 2014, a Manager of Research and Curriculum Development Unit in March 2015, a Manager of Undergraduate Program Unit in December 2016, a Manager of Research and Development Unit in March 2018, and an Assistant Head of Department of Foundation Year and Department of Business Administration in June 2018. Since October 2019, he has been promoted as a Head of Centre of Innovative Teaching and Learning. Meanwhile, he has been also assigned as a Trainer for ACLEDA since July 2014; a Lecturer and a Course Leader for Khmer Studies since July 2016; a Lecturer for Business Research Methods since July 2019; a Chairman of Subcommittee of Research and Curriculum Development since October 2018; and a Chairman of Subcommittee of Cambodia Economic Research and Analysis since April 2019 for ACLEDA INSTITUTE OF BUSINESS.
